The vision of An Open Door into Your Heart is to see children that we take care of all over the world cared for, educated, provided with medical facilities, protected from famine and poverty and, ultimately, taught the Kingdom principles of the Lord Jesus Christ with the hope that they too will make a decision to serve him.

To deliver the vision of An Open Door into Your Heart, we will continue to develop bases in different countries around the world as the work expands. Our desire is to resource and facilitate those bases with the latest equipment, administrative resources, best practice procedures and human resources.

The mission is simple: To create the best possible bases for the children we care for to grow up in a safe, affirming environment, giving them every opportunity to make a success of their lives beyond our care.

The methodology of care and working practice is something we are continually seeking to improve on.

Our desire is that we always seek what is best for the child, in education, accommodation, diet, encouragement etc.

We strongly feel that every child needs a family. An Open Door into Your Heart, therefore, tries to resettle children with extended family members or, in Uganda, through adoptive parents (as An Open Door in Uganda is an adoption agency NGO - 1762, An Open Door is not an adoption agency in any other country in which it operates) and maintain a link with the family while the child is being resettled.
