An Open Door into your Heart was established in 1990 and takes care of some of the world most vulnerable children. After stablising their condition and getting them back to good health, we try to find family members that we can resettle the child with. We are currently working in the UK, Uganda, India and Rwanda.
In the UK we are very active in local schools bringing 'life' messages through pastoral lessons and assemblies.

Our God is a great big God…
Well as we continue to visit schools we are continually blessed by how excited the kids seem to get! It’s great to know that you are speaking the truth into their lives and that truth can make a difference. The children respond so well to the assemblies and seem to love the lively acting and they all go out from the assembly still singing the song ‘Our God is a Great Big God’ which leaves me with a big smile on my face! It’s hard to believe that I have been here for two months and the time is flying by because of the fun we are having! We are settled into the new office and manage to get into several schools every week. We get a great feedback from the children who listen well and the staff who watch the assemblies. In several schools our theme has tied in with what they have been talking about in their lessons or assemblies during the week which is amazing and very encouraging. God truly works in ways that higher than ours.
I am always aware, walking into a school of the massive potential that sits there in front of me. The children we talk to are the future of our world and for me it is a huge privilege to be able to talk to them about God. It is my deepest wish that they begin to understand who God is and how they fit into his plan and into their world. I know and trust that He is planting seeds in the heart of children that we cannot see or understand, and that He will take the little that we do and make it into something big!

The job of being schools team leader is proving to be very exciting, the children are very funny and are a pleasure to work with. I’m loving serving God and thank him that he is able to use me, it truly is an honour in fact as the words of the song that we teach the children say…how wonderful to be a part of God’s amazing plan!
